Willard, Martin Collection _000105

Willard Martin (b. 1917) held numerous jobs before he was hired by Convair San Diego as a metal worker. For the next 30 years, Martin worked at Convair, at some point serving considerably of his profession as the Operations Common Supervisor, a activity that involved supervising experiment department operations, engineering test lap help, model shop operations, mockup and wind tunnel support. In addition, he managed all instrumentation fabrication, installation and field help operations for the Cruise Missile System and other people. In 1976, he was elected by members of the National Management Association, Common Dynamics Convair Chapter, as Director of Public Relations from 1976 to 1977.

Prototype Metro Automobiles – Birmingham Factory

This photograph shows a prototype rail vehicle getting constructed at a Birmingham Factory at some time in 1975.
The photograph is taken from a collection of black and white get in touch with prints documenting the improvement of the whole of the Metro Program in Tyne and Wear.
The photos are taken from the Mott, Hay and Anderson Collection, consulting civil engineers accountable for the Tyneside Metro light rail program and the Tyne pedestrian, cyclist and vehicular tunnels.
Most of the photographs have been taken by Amber Film Associates and Lambton Visual Aids, five and 9 The Side, Newcastle.
