This series of images was taken in downtown Prattville, Alabama. They are of the dam across Autauga Creek. The dam was constructed by Daniel Pratt in the mid 18th Century. The water power was initially harnessed to power the Gin’s/Mill’s manufacturing gear in the mill on the far side of the bank. Today, this area represents a important location in the downtown redevelopment in Prattville.
