A moment in time
I have to admit I am pleased with this.
I finished operate on Friday, walked residence, jumped on my bike and headed out to Mill Lakes to catch this composition (which has been obsessing me not too long ago) at sunset.
Almost everything came with each other: I was perched precariously with 1 foot on prime of a post from the extended derelict fishing platform and one particular on the bank, crouched low to get the very best angle, waiting for the sun to dip decrease to provide the "copper sky" I wanted and hoping the different waterbirds would give up on me as a feeder so that the water surface could calm down.
And it all did: form and colour, liquid and strong, gradually eroding wood against fleeting light – to permit me the shot I wanted , all within ten minutes of my home.
Ideal commence to the weekend …
